Dr. Eric Grimes

Dr. Eric Grimes brings over three decades of experience and a patient-first philosophy to Cornerstone Dentistry. A graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, he has been practicing since 1986 and opened the Lenoir practice in 2008 after many years in Florida.

Patients appreciate Dr. Grimes for his calm, gentle approach, clear communication, and commitment to long-term oral health. He believes that dental care should be as personal as it is professional—taking time to understand each patient’s needs and explain treatment options with clarity and care.

Dr. Grimes and his wife, Jeanette, moved to North Carolina in 2004 to enjoy their shared love for hiking, gardening and the outdoors. Dr. Grimes also has a longtime passion for growing orchids, a hobby he began more than 20 years ago.

Dr. Kajal Khatri

Dr. Kajal Khatri is a compassionate general dentist who believes dental care should feel welcoming, comfortable, and patient-focused. With a background in psychology, she combines gentle care with clear communication to help patients feel at ease and confident throughout their visits.

She provides preventive, restorative, cosmetic, pediatric, and emergency dental care and is Invisaligncertified. Dr. Khatri is known for her attention to detail, emphasis on education, and collaborative approach to treatment.

Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and perfecting her coffee-making skills. She and her husband are excited to call North Carolina home.
